Prime Minister Hisham Qandil said the Egyptian-Libyan Higher Committee will meet at the end of March or early April to discuss all files connected with bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, security, education, health, communications and construction.
"The Egyptian-Libyan Higher Committee will tackle boosting cooperation in the security field and controlling the joint borders to prevent smuggling," Qandil told a press conference he held jointly with his Libyan counterpart Ali Zidan after emerging from a meeting to weigh means to boost bilateral relations.
Qandil noted that the higher committee will discuss means of cooperation on the security level as well as means to secure borders and prevent smuggling.
PM Qandil stressed that his talks with Libyan counterpart agreed on exchange of visits on the level of ministers, senior officials and businessmen in the two countries to activate the solid relations binding Egypt and Libya.
"My visit underlines the depth of relations between the two countries," Zidan said.
The two sides reiterated keenness on achieving stability in Egypt and Libya.
