Zimbabwe: Prof Nyagura's Term Extended

President Mugabe has extended the contract for University of Zimbabwe Vice Chancellor Professor Levi Martin Nyagura. In a statement, UZ registrar Mr Sergeant Chevo said Prof Nyagura would continue as Vice-Chancellor for the next five years. "The University of Zimbabwe would like to inform that the Chancellor has in terms of Section 8 (1) of the University of Zimbabwe Act, Chapter 25;16, extended Professor Levi Martin Nyagura's contract as Vice Chancellor of the University of Zimbabwe for five (5) years, with effect from 1 January, 2013 to 31 December 2017.

"On behalf of all members of the University community and indeed on my own behalf, may I take this opportunity to congratulate Professor Nyagura on this extension of his contract of employment as Vice Chancellor, University of Zimbabwe," read the statement.
