Kenya: 19-Year-Old Bags Seat in Baringo

A 19-year-old is Baringo Central's county assembly representative. Munge Kibiwott was elected to represent the people of Parkerra ward in Eldama Ravine constituency on the URP ticket. Kibiwott is the youngest civic leader to be elected in the just concluded polls.

"I have grown admiring politicians, and I have always dreamt to be one someday and therefore this is a dream come true," said Kibiwott. "At Tenges Boys High School in Baringo district, I was a committed member of debating club," he said.
