Carnivals, concerts and soccer matches; these are the type of occasions usually associated with drunken chanting, singing, whistling and pushing. That was until I experienced a Kenyan political rally.
The tribalism was akin to my experiences as a Liverpool fan at Anfield, while the shoving was even fiercer than in the London Carnival. This was Kamukunji, and as a Brit I had never experienced anything like it.
