Egypt, Iraq Sign Agreements to Activate Cooperation - Minister

The Iraqi government asserted that it will extend all facilities and remove any obstacles that may face Egyptian electricity companies operating in Iraq and participating in the reconstruction of the country, said Minister of Electricity Ahmed Emam.

He added that Egyptian power companies have a chance to contribute to projects in Iraq to install smart meters in the Arab country.

Egypt and Iraq have agreed on activating bilateral cooperation agreements signed between the two sides and forming a committee of Egyptian experts for visiting Iraq to get firsthand information about its power needs, Emam said.
