Good news will be announced soon about an International Monetary Fund's expected loan to Egypt, said Egyptian Presidential Secretary for Foreign Affairs Khaled el-Qazaz.

Qazaz, who is part of a visiting delegation to the United States, said he visited the IMF premises in Washington to follow up the loan developments and Egypt's economic program in this regard.

The Egyptian delegation held talks with officials in the US State Department on the economic assistance that US pledged to offer Egypt, Qazaz said.

What is more important than the financial aid is the "positive sign" that the delegation has given to the US investors that the situation in Egypt is heading towards stability, Qazaz said, adding that the meeting took up setting mechanisms to encourage investment in Egypt and means of using the experience of the Egyptian expatriates living in the US.
