Angola: Former Handball Federation Chairman Distinguished With Competition Name

Sumbe — The Handball Super Cup, as from this year, will be called "Francisco de Almeida Super Cup", in homage to the first chairman of the Angolan Handball Federation, who was elected Honorary President in 2003.

This is a decision taken by the Angolan Handball Federation with the intention of paying a homage to this historical figure in the country's sport.

Thus, the inaugural edition of the "Francisco de Almeida Super Cup" started last Saturday.

Francisco de Almeida passed away on 10 March 2012.
