Nigeria: Scammers Use Jonathan, Sambo Names to Defraud Lagosians

Although President Goodluck Jonathan had remained coy about seeking re-election in 2015, gangland luminaries in Lagos would have none of it and have gone ahead to launch a re-election campaign for the president, albeit with criminal intent.

LEADERSHIP WEEKEND gathered that members of a syndicate operating from House No. 15, Oluwalogbon Street, Ile-Ile bus-stop, Ketu, Lagos, have defrauded thousands of Lagosians and others in the south-west of millions of naira under the guise of working for the re-election bid of President Jonathan and Vice President Namadi Sambo.
