Kenya Revenue Authority's expenditure for the 2011/2012 financial year exceeded income resulting in a deficit of 121.4 million shillings. The tax collection body which last year reported that it had missed its revenue target by 11.3 billion shillings has reported an income of 11.9 billion shillings while expenses hit 12.04 billion shillings. It expects to collect 881.2 billion shillings, a 24.6 per cent increase in projection.
