Tanzania: Police Reduce 150 Acres of Marijuana Farms to Ashes

Police in Arusha Region, in collaboration with other security organs, have set ablaze marijuana which was planted in farms estimated to be covering 150 acres in various villages of Likamba and Imbibya Ngalaoni in Arumeru District.

The operation which started on March 1, this year in the early morning, by policemen entering the farms in various villages was led by the Arusha Regional Police Commander, Mr. Liberatus Sabas.
