Nigeria: New Venue for Lagos Motor Show, Autoparts Expo Nigeria

9 March 2013

BKG Exhibitions Limited, organisers of the annual Lagos Motor Fair, has announced the date for the eight edition of the event, saying the event will now hold at the Federal Palace Hotel, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos from May 10-16 . Managing Director of the company who is also the Chairman of the Organising Committee, Mr. Ifeanyichukwu Agwu, said the eight edition of the auto show will hold from May 10-16, while the second edition of the specialised Autopart Nigeria Expo will hold from May 13-16.

Agwu explained that the change of the venue was informed by the need to comfortably accommodate all the exhibitors in a larger environment, saying Victoria Island has a larger concentration of the automobile market in Nigeria and the location of the hotel is easily accessible to all. "The challenges of the event are enormous but we are not relenting. We are looking at the future, believing that the dream of organising the fair will be here one day. "International participation in the event is increasing and encouraging, especially the autoparts segment. Just like we did last year, we will have a specialized autoparts segment which will run concurrently with the main event, the automobile show," Agwu said. "With the strength and contribution of our partner, SENEXPO International Fairs Inc of Turkey, more spare parts companies than we had last year are participating in this edition."
