Egypt: Unesco Did Not Threaten to Lift Egypt From World Heritage

State Minister of Antiquities Mohamed Ibrahim denied on Sunday 10/3/2013 that the UNESCO threatened to lift Egypt from the World Heritage List, adding that the international organization only has a number of observations about the archaeological area in Dahshour.

The minister pointed out that the problem is on its way to be resolved after the ministry issued 54 urgent decisions.

Meanwhile, Ibrahim will meet on Tuesday 12/3/2013 UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova, during her scheduled visit to Egypt to discuss a number of projects, funded by the international body, in Egypt.

The minister said that Bokova's visit to Egypt comes to continue consultations held with him during his visit to Paris last November.

He said that he will ask Bokova to launch an international campaign to increase the fund of a project to set up the national civilization museum in El-Fostat.
