Abuja — President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the removal of Dr Harold Demuren from office as the Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) with effect from March 12.

The approval is contained in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja and signed by Mr Sam Nwaobasi, the Special Assistant (Media) to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

The statement said the removal followed "a careful consideration of Demuren's unsatisfactory response to the numerous concerns of stakeholders in the aviation sector".

It added that Jonathan wished him well in his future endeavours. (NAN)
