Photo: http://www.magharebia.com/ Bardo — Prime Minister-designate Ali Larayedh laid out, Tuesday during a session of vote of confidence, the four priorities of his government.
The first priority: clarify the political vision and combine the favorable conditions for holding the next elections,
The second priority: re-establish security, fight against crime, drift and violence,
The third priority: develop economy, promote employment, boost the regional development process and fight against the high cost of living,
The fourth priority: carry on the reform process, fight against corruption, enforce general amnesty and ensure accountability.
According to Larayedh, "the organisation of free democratic and transparent elections depends on a compromise around a schedule within the National Constituent Assembly." In this connection, he emphasised the need to speed up the process of establishing the authorities of the elections, the judicial order and media, and elaborate the electoral law.
He also stressed the imperative to adopt, in the shortest terms, the organic law on transitional justice and set the deadline of ending the draft of the Constitution.
Besides, he pledged to impose the respect of the sovereignty of the law, preserve the state prestige and protect it against any violation whatever its origin, swearing to repress all form of violation and prosecute its authors.
"The government will strive to improve the economic performances achieved in 2012, thanks to the reduction of the budget deficit of 24%", he said, on the other hand, noting that this government will opt for strengthening the state's revenues, thanks to a better tax and non-tax recovery rate.
Additionally, the new government will strive to reduce the disparities between the regions and overcome the difficulties impeding the implementation of several public projects, he added.
The government, he went on saying, will also endeavour to multiply job opportunities in the public and private sector, in such a manner as to create 90,000 jobs from now till the end of the year.
Besides, the government will strive to implement programmes of rehabilitation and integration and increase the pace of creating small-and medium-sized enterprises, he went on saying.
Furthermore, Ali Larayedh underlined his government commitment to fight against the excessive rise of prices, intensify economic and security control so as to master inflation and take all the necessary measures to fight against speculation and contain the phenomenon of smuggling.
