Kenya: Villagers of Tseikuru Flee Homes As Bandits Attack

Residents of Tseikuru in Kitui have fled their homes for fear of attacks by cattle rustlers from a neighbouring pastoralist community. Some 20 families in Kithongo village fled after a people believed to be spies shot at some herdsmen.

"My family was affected. All families in the area fled when the intruders who shot at the herds-boys struck. They are leaving as IDP at Kamuthanga AP camp. They fear that the gunmen were on an espionage mission before a major attack is launched on them," said a local teacher.
