Rwanda/Mali: Micho Unveils Squad for Mali Tie Today

THE national senior soccer team coach Milutin Sredojovic Micho is expected to unveil his squad for the forthcoming Fifa World Cup qualifier against Mali this afternoon.

The Amavubi team will be on the road to take on the Eagles of Mali in Kigali on March 24 in a Group H match of the 2014 Brazil World Cup qualifiers.

A statement issued by Micho yesterday said that he will make public his new squad at a news conference to be held at the Federations head quarters at 2.00pm on Thursday.

Amavubi are currently placed bottom in Group H of the World Cup qualifiers with one point from two matches. They are behind leaders Benin who have four points while Mali and Algeria have three points each.

The Serb is expected to select a team which will largely be comprised of ten or more professional players who will be first engaged in an international friendly match next Wednesday to assess their preparedness before naming the final squad.

Amavubi will go into Mali's qualifier well aware that anything short of three points will all but end their dream of playing in Brazil.
