Egypt: PM Holds Talks With S. Sudan Vice President in Juba

Upon his arrival on Thursday 14/3/2013, Prime Minister Hisham Qandil held a behind-closed-door session of talks with South Sudan Vice President Riek Machar on political and economic cooperation.

The bilateral talks were followed by an expanded session that included members of the two delegations. Talks focused on ironing out hurdles to increasing cooperation between Egypt and South Sudan, in addition to boosting cooperation in the agricultural, irrigation, mining, industrial and cultural domains.

Ministers Mohamed Kamel Amr of Foreign Affairs, Hatim Abdel-Hamid of Industry, Mohamed Bahaa of Irrigation and Salah Mohamed Abdel-Mo'men of Agriculture attended the talks.
