Gambia: Six WCR Communities Exposed to Vegetable Processing, Preservation Techniques

Six communities in the West Coast Region (WCR) recently benefitted from a three-day training in vegetable processing and preservation at the Ever-Green Family Farm Centre in Mandinaba.

Organised by Concern Universal (CU) with funding from the Australian government, the training equipped farmers with basic techniques in vegetable processing and preservation, as well as new methods and technologies that are currently available at the Mandinaba garden. It formed part of the partnership between the Ever-Green Family Farm Centre in Mandinaba and the Concern Universal, that chose the former to serve as a model farm where farmers can learn modern agricultural techniques and technology.
