In a press statement issued in connection with the launch of the 2013 Human Development Index, today March 15 2013 The United Nations Development programme (UNDP) announced that human development in more than 40 developing countries has improved.
According to the press statement the report titled 'The Rise of the South: Human progress in a diverse world', examines the profound shift in global dynamics driven by the fast -rising new powers of the developing world and its long- term implications for human development. The report indicated that since 2000 Ethiopia's human development index has improved by 44%.
