Egypt Discuss Cooperation in Mining Sector With Sudan, Libya

Minister of Petroleum Osama Kamal signed a cooperation protocol on Thursday 14/03/2013 with ministers of mineral resources in Sudan and Libya to explore for minerals in Jebel Uweinat area.

The ministers agreed on forming a committee that includes representatives from the three countries and convenes every three months to follow up the targeted projects.

Minister Kamal underlined the necessity of cooperation among the three countries, calling for making the best economic use of mineral resources in the three countries for the interest of their peoples.
