Egypt: PM Renews Respect for Constitutional Court Rulings

At his meeting with Minister of State for Parliamentary Councils Affairs Dr. Omar Salem on Friday 15/3/2013, Prime Minister Dr. Hisham Qandil stressed the importance of respecting the rulings of the constitutional court in order to move ahead towards building the legislative institutions of the state.

During the meeting, the premier discussed a number of bills which are currently being discussed by the Shura Council especially those governing practicing political rights and House of Representative elections.

Qandil said the Egyptian economic and social reform program is now stronger than the program upon which a deal has been reached with the International Monetary Fund.

He said the government is keen on facilitating measures needed for issuing licenses for tourist projects.

The government has taken a package of measures and facilities to encourage investment and develop the economic reform program, Qandil said, adding that the government has offered new guarantees to investors with the aim of luring more investments.
