Angola: State Secretary Hails Importance of Juvenile Association

Ondjiva — The Secretary of State for Youth, Nhanga Assunção Calunga, said on Thursday in Ondjiva city, southern Cunene province, that the juvenile association represents the fundamental basis of the young people's participation in various domains of the society and fomenting of civic spirit.

The official said so during a meeting with the local youth.

According to him, the incentive and development of actions stimulate the juvenile participation in the social, cultural, economic and political life.

Nhanga Calunga said to be necessary for youth to know about the various programmes aimed to support this segment of the society, so that they may benefit from these projects.

During his stay in Cunene province, the State Secretary visited the youth ward, where 20 houses and community centre for youth are being built in in Ombadja district and 40 residences in Namacunde locality.
