Nigeria: Canadian Govt Petitions Police Over Fake Insurance Claims

Lagos — A fake medical doctor identified as Ibukun Ojo has been arrested by the police in Lagos. He was arrested at the weekend following a petition received from the Canadian High Commission, alleging a case of suspected fraud against Mount Zion Clinic/Hospital located at No. 2, Mukandasi Street, Oja-Oke, Oshodi, Lagos.

The Canadian High Commission in Nigeria alleged that some group of persons led by the fake doctor have been involved in the issuance of fake medical documents to Nigerians based in Canada to fraudulently claim health insurance.
