Namibia: Seaflower Rejects Reports of Financial Trouble

THE CEO of the Lüderitz-based Seaflower Whitefish Corporation, Ronny Coppin, has rejected widespread rumours that the company is on the brink of bankruptcy.

Seaflower Whitefish is a subsidiary of Fishcor, which is wholly owned by the Namibian government. The rumours of a financial crisis at the company surfaced after it had halted production due to a breakdown of its fishing vessels.
