Angola: National Football Team Weakened By Injuries

Luanda — The midfielders Pirolito and Vado (Interclube team), Djalma Campos (Kasimpasa of Turkey) and the striker Guilherme Afonso (FC Vaduz of Liechtenstein) are sustaining injuries that will cause them to be absent from next Saturday's game with Senegal in Conakry (Equatorial Guinea), which is a group J third round match qualifier for the 2014 World Cup of Brazil, ANGOP has learnt.

The information has been given to Radio-5 sports station by João Lusevikueno, member of the board of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), who seized the occasion to confirm the presence of the midfielders Geraldo, from Brazil's Paraná, and the striker Manucho Gonçalves, from Spain's Valladolid.

The Federation official explained that Geraldo is to arrive in Angola on Tuesday morning, whereas Manucho is to jet in on Thursday.
