Kenya: Council to Rid Thika Town of Posters

Thika Municipal Council in partnership with the local community at the weekend embarked on an operation to clean up the municipality. The "operation ng'oa posters" was launched by Kiambu TNA election coordinator Gladys Chania Mwangi accompanied by the District Public Health Officer Julius Inyingi and Municipal Council Deputy Chief Public Health Officer Purity Waithaka.

Mwangi, who is also the Kiambu County peace facilitator and Rotary Club secretary urged residents and corporate groups to join hands in cleaning up the county and preaching peace. The theme of the campaign is "usafi, amani na maendeleo".
