A new crop of champions has started emerging in woodball as newcomer Shallot Kikatushemeza stood out to gun down top seed Lillian Zawedde at the Kyambogo championship over the weekend.
"I am so excited," said Kikatushemeza, a Makerere University Business School student after her victory. She finished with 51 strokes in the women's singles, five ahead of second-placed Sophie Namuddu. Shamsa Nantege came third with 60 strokes.
