Tanzania: Govt Determined to Reduce Child Mortality

THE government will continue to demonstrate a strong political commitment to achieving the health-related Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) number four and five towards reducing child mortality and maternal health respectively.

Deputy Minister for Health and Social Welfare, Dr Seif Rashid, said in a speech read on his behalf by Assistant Director for Reproductive and Child Health Division, Dr Neema Rusubamayila that despite efforts to reduce child mortality, there is still work to be done to achieve the goal.
