Trans Nzoia Trans Women Sacco has started a special programme to uplift small scale traders at the Kitale Municipal Market. Speaking to the press at the Sacco's headquarters in Kitale town yesterday, CEO Martha Ouma said the Sokoni Women Project will enable women save as little as Sh50 per day and qualify for a maximum loan of Sh 5,000. She said though it has been a month since the programme was launched, already 250 women have registered.
