Kano — Some of the victims of Monday's attack who are currently receiving treatments in different hospitals in Kano yesterday said they will never forgive their attackers.
A Kano businessman, Abdulaziz Baban Lamma, 47, said he was just entering the bus and had called his boss to tell him that he was on his way when he heard the blast, "I was entering the bus when suddenly I heard an explosion. As I made effort to move, I was unable and I felt something dangling under my shirt and as I checked, I realized it was my intestine," he said.
He added that he had to use his two hands to scoop the entrails and with the help of other people he was rushed to the hospital.
Baban Lamma, who has burns all over his body and who underwent emergency operation, said he will never forgive the attackers. "May God curse whoever was behind this attack, may he never see peace in his life. People are dead and many are injured as a result of this inhuman act. I will never forgive whoever did this", he said
Another victim, who is also receiving treatment at Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, Emmanuel Bassey, 37, said he was near the bus when the explosion happened. He said when they saw the attacker's car entered the park, some of the park attendants had started asking them if they were passengers. And when the driver moved forward in a high speed and applied sudden brake, "that was when I heard a large bang that was followed by fire".
Bassey's wife, who was by his bed side crying, was soliciting assistance for her husband, saying "Please help my husband".
