Nigeria: Re - Dr. Obe Exits - Tribute to a Humanitarian Doctor!

I was shocked to know about the demise of Dr. Obe and will not be able to forgive myself for not getting in touch with his family earlier. It is like I have lost an elder brother. I had started my career as a medical practitioner at Salem Hospital, Otukpo under the guidance of Dr. Obe. He had been my guide, mentor and an elder brother.

The writer, Betty Abba (in her article "Dr. Obe Exits: Tribute to a Humanitarian Doctor") has rightly mentioned that he was a man who extended his help to the poor and needy in terms of money, and in terms of imparting medical help. It was this charitable mentality that gave Salem Hospital its recognition as a good District Hospital.
