Tunisia: NCA Speaker Confers With German FM

Tunis — National Constituent Assembly (NCA) speaker Mustapha Ben Jaafar asserted, Tuesday in Bardo, during a meeting with German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle, that Tunisia starts today the final phase of the democratic transition process.

According to the NCA statement, Mustapha Ben Jaafar estimated that "the vision is henceforth clear for Tunisia with a schedule fixing the dates for the adoption of the constitution and holding the elections late this year."

For his part, Guido Westerwelle said that "his country will continue supporting Tunisia for the finalisation of its transition process."

He asserted that, this visit, the third he pays in Tunisia since the advent of the Revolution, materialises the solidity of the relations between the two countries and reflect the two countries' mutual will to further strengthen them in favour of Tunisia's development.
