Egypt Asks Libya to Stop All Malpractices Against Egyptians

Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Maghreb and Libya Affairs Youssef Ahmed el-Sharkawy said on Wednesday 21/3/2013 that he conveyed to the Libyan authorities the Egyptian request to stop all malpractices against Egyptians in Libya and even those individual ones.

El-Sharkawy discussed with the Libyan side ways to facilitate entry visa procedures between the two countries and to give back the rights that Matrouh residents had enjoyed before February 14.

"During the last 24 hours I met Libyan Premier Ali Zidan twice and he promised to take all the necessary procedures to answer the Egyptian requests," el-Sharkawy said.

El-Sharkawy added that the meetings with the Libyan Premier were very friendly and that they discussed establishing a joint company for fishing. He stressed that the coming days will witness several high-level visits between the two countries and that an Egyptian-Libyan committee session will be held as soon as possible.
