Egypt: Luxor Balloon Flights to Resume Soon

Civil Aviation Minister Wael Maadawi said Wednesday 20/3/2013 that balloon flights will be back to service once investigations into a recent balloon crash end within the coming few days.

Maadawi said in a statement that the results of the probe will be documented with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) as a guide for investigation into similar accidents.

The step comes to promote tourism in the Upper Egypt governorates, the minister noted, reiterating that all balloons will undergo periodical technical examination.
