Nigeria: Fresh Ijaw/Itsekiri Crisis Looms in Warri North

Sapele — Fresh crisis between the Itsekiri and Ijaw in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State is looming as about 300 passengers on board a thug boat, heading to the riverine communities have been reportedly waylaid while the waterways have also been blocked by armed men suspected to be Ijaw youths.

The outlaws were said to have given government 12 hours ultimatum, failing which they will harm the passengers while Itsekiri villages in Warri North would be attacked.
