Kenya: Awiti Invites 3,000 to His Swearing-in Ceremony

MORE than 3, 000 guests are expected to witness the swearing in of Homa Bay governor-elect Cyprian Awiti on March 27.The guests include, senator-elect Otieno Kajwang, women representative-elect Gladys Wanga, MPs-elect, religious leaders, government officials and residents of the eight constituencies of the county.

Formal invitations have been sent and arrangements to transport residents from the constituencies have been made.Awiti and the deputy governor-elect Hamilton Orata will be sworn in by Justice Esther Nyambura and chief magistrate Patricia Gichochi at Homa Bay High School. The ceremony will begin at 10am.
