Kenya: Court Allows Waititu to Challenge Kidero's Win

FORMER Embakasi MP Ferdinand Waititu can challenge Nairobi governor-elect Evans Kidero win, the High Court has ruled. Justice Mumbi Ngugi yesterday said Waititu has an arguable case that should be determined by an election court.

Ngugi referred the case to Chief justice Willy Mutunga for purposes of appointing and gazetting  a judge to hear it. Kidero, who is represented by Tom Ojienda, had asked the court to dismiss the case saying it was premature.
