Egypt: Heavy Security At Brotherhood's HQ in Mokattam

Police forces deployed in large numbers at the Muslim Brotherhood's headquarters in Cairo's Mokattam, the Middle East News Agency's correspondent reported on Friday.

Around 12 central security forces vehicles and four armoured vehicles were deployed behind the headquarters while officers from Cairo's security directory took positions opposite the building.

This step was taken in anticipation of clashes or incidents that may disrupt general security, a security source has said.

A number of parties had planned anti-Brotherhood demonstrations today in protest against violent incidents that took place last Saturday in front of the group's main headquarters.
