Ethiopia: House Buyers Swindled in Broad Day Light

Habtewold Mekuria, 45, a father of two and restaurant owner in France, was at Lebu, around Varnero Square in Nefas Silk Lafto District, on Wednesday, March 20, 2013.

Two months ago, he bought a two-storey house, on 175sqm of land, for 3.5 million Br through brokers. He bought it with plans to turn it into a café and restaurant that his brother would run, until he returns to Ethiopia permanently.
