Egypt: Public Prosecutor Orders Stopping Arrest of Rachid Mohamed Rachid
29 March 2013
The Public Prosecutor Counselor Talaat Abdullah on Thursday 28/03/2013 issued a decision on stopping procedures for the arrest of former industry minister Rachid Mohamed Rachid.
This comes after Rachid paid EGP 15 million to the State.
The move is part of a reconciliation program sponsored by the government to get cash from former officials charged with squandering public funds.
