Egypt: Agriculture Minister: 25 Percent of New Lands for Youths in Closed Auction

Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Dr. Salah Abdel-Momen inaugurated "Spring Flowers 80" on 30/3/2013. During the inauguration, he said that 25% of the new lands are allocated to youths and will be distributed to them next month through a closed auction.

Egypt's ornamental plants exports have reached EGP 350 million, said Abdel-Momen.

The Ministry is currently considering setting up a stock exchange for flowers, Abdel-Momen added.

He pointed out that 120,134 feddans of wheat were cultivated in the winter season.
