Nigeria: Fear Grips Gusau Residents Over Planned Demolition

Gusau — Anxiety and fear have taken over the minds of residents of Unguwar Kara (group A) and Matazu (group B) in the metropolitan city of Gusau, capital city of Zamfara State, over plans by the state government to demolish illegal structures built around the city's air strip.

Hundreds of residential houses built around the Gusau Airstrip were marked for demolition by the state government officials, who said they were illegally erected and the government plans to expand the airstrip for bigger planes to land and take off successfully.
