On Sunday (March 31st), Ethiopian Airlines began flights to two more African destinations, Ndola in Zambia, and Blantyre in Malawi. This raises the number of Ethiopian Airline destinations to 46 in Africa. Ndola becomes the second stop for Ethiopian Airlines in Zambia next to Lusaka, and Blantyre is the second destination in Malawi after Lilongwe.
Ato Esayas Woldemariam, Chief Commercial Officer of Ethiopian Airlines, said the new routes underlined the airline's commitment to linking the African continent to the rest of the world. Ethiopian Airlines has the largest network in Africa, helping African countries trade and connect with each other as well as foster relations and cooperation throughout the continent. It is an important part of the African project of integration.
