Nigeria Navy Restates Commitment to Protect Waterways

The Nigeria Navy yesterday warned against illegal use of Lagos waterways and internal waters, noting that it was poised to protect the country's maritime potentials and resources for national development.

The Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) the Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, gave the assurance at an annual water regatta, which the Lagos State Government put together as parts of the event lined to mark the state's Easter Carnival.
