Ethiopia: Riverside Car Wash

Long drives across the country are bound to dirty up anyone's car, and once outside Addis Abeba it may be difficult to find a car wash. But residents of Bahir Dar town have found a solution for the many buses that drive into their town every week. As can be seen in the picture, mini-buses have been driven to the edge of the Abay River, where young men are taking turns to wash the vehicles inside out. These men are using the resources of the Nile to earn their living and saving their labour by not having to transport buckets of water to wash the vehicles.
