Nigeria: Police Quiz ACN Chairman Over Killing of PDP Member

The police in Ekiti State Tuesday invited the state chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Chief Jide Awe, over the killing of a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Ayodele Jeje, during a clash involving supporters of the two parties in Erinjiyan in Ekiti West local government area of the state.

The 37-year-old Jeje was shot and killed, while several others, including one Mrs. Julianah Adewumi and Gbenga Adewumi, sustained injuries when they were attacked on March 30, during a meeting to fine-tune arrangement by some ACN members to defect to PDP.
