Zambia: Cosafa Officials Inspect Zambia Facilities

A delegation from Cosafa yesterday inspected Nkoloma Stadium as one of the four venues for the regional tournament bill for July 2013.

The other three match venues include Railway's Godfrey Chitalu, Arthur Davies and Levy Mwanawasa.

Sue Destombes, the Cosafa Chief Operating Officer, and Cosafa Match Organising Committee member Baba Malephane comprise the delegation which set off the trip with a meeting at Football House attended by general secretary George Kasengele.

According to a statement by Erick Mwanza, the FAZ communications officer, venues such as Sunset stadium, Edwin Imboela, Woodlands and the sports complexes were inspected for use as training facilities.

The tournament will run from July 6 to 23 with the final expected for Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

Destombes, who is in the country up to tomorrow, will inspect proposed team hotels which include the Savoy, Mukuba, Gonde Lodges, Moba and Michelangelo.
