Nigerian Leaders Not With People - Lagos First Lady

Lagos — Most Nigerian leaders are disconnected from the people who elected them into offices, wife of Lagos State Governor, Abimbola Fashola has said.

Fashola who spoke Thursday in Lagos at the National Women's Prayer Summit 2013, organised by Awesome Treasure Foundation, said the development is not healthy for nation building.

According to her, Nigerian leaders must embrace attitudinal change that would not only connect them with the people but also task them to serve the nation.

She tasked Nigerian politicians to be God-fearing, saying their communion with God will guide them to the right path.

Founder of Awesome Treasure Foundation, Jumoke Adenowo said the level of insecurity in Nigeria is manifestation that there is conspiracy against the country to crumble.

She urged Nigerians to pray for the defeat of those agents whose sole aim is to see the country disintegrated.
