Egypt: Al Azhar Sheikh Denounces Khosoos Incident

Sheikh of Al-Azhar Ahmed al-Tayyeb has denounced the violent incidents that took place in the Qaliubiya city of Khosous district that caused the death of innocents.

Tayyeb stated that fending off sectarianism is a national duty. In the same context, Bishop Suriel Yonan, the pastor of the Saint George Church in Khosous, said that Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese will delegate Anba Botros Shebin Qanater Bishopric and other bishops to hold the funeral of Copts killed in Khosous incident.
