The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) said it has come to its notice that there are rumours whirling around the country about voting without a voting card, something it warns contravenes the electoral laws of the country.
In its latest press release sent to the Daily Observer, the IEC states that "according to Section 66 of the Elections Act, a voter desiring to record his or her vote shall present himself or herself together with his or her voting card to the presiding officer at the polling station allocated to him or her."
